Coconuts kill about 150 people each year, that’s more than sharks. Half of all bank robberies take place on a Friday and the name Wendy was made up for the book Peter Pan. There was never a recorded Wendy before it so sort it out [link]

Hey!
I saw Trent Parke's exhibition in Derby back in October now. I fell in love with him! What an amazing photographer. Managed to get hold of his Dream/Life book from Australia too. It's beautiful.
:]
Where are you planning on going to uni?

:iconapbruce:
You got the book of Dream/Life wow, thats quite something. I'm just hoping Parke's Minutes to Midnight will come to the UK soon.
I'm really hoping to go to Falmouth Uni (and i've applied to both the Normal photog and press photog courses their, awaiting to see if they'll interview me now, had to do a mini-project for them aswell!) And i'm waiting for an interview from Farnham, and i got turned down from the arts institute bournemouth without an interview and turned down from plymouth after an interview (that was a kick in the teeth)...
Got any tips for getting into Uni ?
You can see my complete portfolio on the link in my journal.
Hope your super.

Yeah? I think he should be having more shows over here, he's gotten more popular. Magnum have snapped him up anyway! Lucky guy. I love his Seventh Wave work, I'd love to have that book too.
My mate lives near Falmouth! The standard looks pretty high there. What was the mini project about? I went to an open day at Bournemouth and hated the atmosphere - the course leader came across so arrogant and didn't bother to show us around. A group of us was shown around by an ex student who did the other Photography course they do. Couldn't believe how slack it all was. Don't think I took a look at Plymouth, will go check it out now! Goodluck with it all though!
Any tips? Christ, I was so worried when I was going through all the interviews. But once you get through them all, go with your gut feeling.
Your portfolio is stunning - the portraits & urban photos are really good. Suprised you've been turned down from a few places. I'm at Nottingham Trent & the interviewers hardly looked through my portfolio, which really worried me & made me nervous so I kept jumbling up my words. So a tip for that - just relax!
Let me know of any uni news! And keep up the work. You're a great photographer.
